VIETNAMESE LUNAR NEW YEAR  

Themed “Ho Chi Minh City – My Beloved City,” the annual flower display on Nguyen Hue Flower Street during Vietnamese Lunar New Year will open from January 28 until February 3 in Ho Chi Minh City. The show features a wide range of flowers, ornamental plants, bonsai, orchid, cactus, apricot, peach blossoms, and rock-gardens which will be arranged in accordance with subjects including the three periods of the development of this city: Integration and Development, Sentimental Gathering and Aspiration.

HCMHo Chi Minh City is the economic center of Vietnam and accounts for a large proportion of the economy of Vietnam. Established in 1698 by a Vietnamese noble sent by the Nguyen rulers from Hue, the city was called Saigon until the present name in 1976. The city, especially in the Chinatown, still retains many buildings having a classical Western style by the French during their colonial occupation of Vietnam.

CU CHI UNDERGROUND TUNNELS (Half Day) – Code: SGN2  

Cu ChiCu Chi tunnels are an vast network of connecting underground dugouts found in the suburban Cu Chi district of the previous Saigon. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as a stronghold and hideout during combats. They also served as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for guerrilla fighters.
